Sammatti Film Festival will light up the darkening September evenings with its brilliant program, 6-7.9.2025!

In the heart of the countryside, we will enjoy top international and domestic films and guests. The weekend will include Finnish and Nordic premieres, panel discussions, visual art and live music.

This year’s films deal with indigenous people, roots and identity, as well as myths and legends. They examine the security and meaning brought by traditions and community, as well as the burden and narrowness they can cause. One’s own identity is explored and searched, and the essence of humanity and consciousness is also pondered. The program consists of feature and short films, as well as documentaries, providing something for all ages.
